Big Ass Shims™ was born on real jobsites—not in a boardroom.

After more than two decades as a professional carpenter and remodeling contractor, our founder grew tired of wasting time cutting filler strips, stacking scraps, and fighting with tiny wedge shims that cracked, split, or slowed the job down. There had to be a faster, better way.

So he invented Big Ass Shims™—an oversized, flat shimming system designed to help contractors and homeowners get walls, floors, cabinets, doors, windows, tubs, and countless other projects straight, level, and true with less hassle.

What started as a jobsite solution became a family mission. A husband-and-wife team worked together to bring the product from idea to reality—designing, testing, refining, and building a brand centered around hard work, practical innovation, and American grit.
